Who is Journalist Charlie Brooker?
Charlton "Charlie" Brooker is an English satirist and television broadcaster. He is the author of the popular anthology series Black Mirror as well as the scriptwriter of a number of shows such as Black Mirror, Brass Eye, The 11 O'Clock Show and Nathan Barley. He is also the host of the TV shows Screenwipe, Gameswipe, Newswipe, Weekly Wipe, and 10:00 Live.
For his humorous, often controversial style with elements of surrealism and satirical pessimism, he won journalist of the year at the 2009 British Press Awards.
 
 

Young / Before famous

Brooker grew up in the villages of Brightwell and Sotwell in Oxfordshire. After attending Wallingford School, he attended the Polytechnic of Central London, majoring in Communication Studies. He was not accepted to graduate because his thesis was written on video games, so it was not accepted by the teachers.
In 1990, Brooker wrote articles for PC Zone magazine, most notably: Brooker's series of animated mini-series "Zoo Cruelty Helmut Werstler" in 2008 caught the attention of the audience pulling multiple issues for newspapers and magazines in the UK at the time.
From 1999 to 2003 , he wrote satires for the website TVGoHome, which is a combination of satire and surreal humor that characterizes must-know tech news. His writings were published and televised as a program based on web content which was broadcast on British digital station E4 in 2001. Brooker is also involved in a number of television activities. From 1999 to 2000 he was a specialist in short programs and he was an editor and scriptwriter for Talk Show movies on channel 4.
Since 2006, Brooker began writing and presenting the Screenwipe Charlie Brooker television series on BBC Four. In 2011, a documentary series How TV Ruined Your Life was broadcast on BBC Two.

Family life info

Brooker met his now wife Blue Peter Konnie Huq, a British presenter full of personality, when he was involved in the filming of an episode of Screenwipe. After 9 months of dating, the two became engaged and officially married on July 26, 2010 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He has two children, the first Covey was born in 2012 and the second son Huxley was born in 2014.
