Literator Tran Thanh Mai?
Writer Tran Thanh Mai is from Tien Non village, Phu Mau commune, Phu Vang district, Thua Thien - Hue province. He is a writer, journalist, researcher and literary critic in Vietnam. In addition, he was also a founding member of the Vietnam Writers' Association (1957), and was one of the people who had contributed to the establishment of the Vietnam Literature Institute from the very beginning.
After peace was restored, he was one of the curators of People's Education magazine. Next, he returned to the Institute of Vietnamese Literature (Hanoi) in charge of the Vietnamese Ancient and Modern Literature group, and worked there until his death.
He died on February 3, 1965 at Viet Xo Hospital, Hanoi. Currently, the grave of writer Tran Thanh Mai has been reburied in Trung Viet Cemetery, Go Dua, Thu Duc, Ho Chi Minh City.

- As a child, Tran Thanh Mai studied at An Cuu Primary School and Hue Quoc Hoc School.
- He graduated with Thanh Chung diploma in 1928.
- Year. 1936, Tran Thanh Mai participated in the role of Hernani in the famous play Hernani by writer Victor Hugo at the headquarters of the Central American House of Representatives (by Mr. thuc-khang/w7">Huynh Thuc Khang as director). This play was performed to raise money to help the hungry people of Nghe Tinh.

- In 1945, he played the role of Kinh Kha. in the play Kinh Kha by Vi Huyen Dac to raise money to help hungry people. In the same year, he joined the Cultural Association for National Salvation, teaching French and Vietnamese literature at Thuan Hoa and Hong Duc schools, Hue.
- In 1946, he and a group of artists and writers in Hue He went to Hanoi to attend the National Cultural Congress.
- In 1947, he went to Thanh Hoa to teach French, Vietnamese literature, Biology and Geography at Hoai Van Private High School in Quang Xuong district. (later moved to Hoang Hoa district). In 1948 - 1950, he was the Principal of this school. During that time, he wrote the play Hero Lam Son and accepted the role of Le Lai in the performances in Thanh Hoa.
- In 1951, he transferred to teach at Dao Public High School. Duy Tu from Tho Xuan district, Thanh Hoa (this school was later renamed Lam Son High School).
- In 1955, he returned to work at the Propaganda and Press Department of the Ministry of Education, then in charge of People's Education Magazine.
- In 1960, he returned to work at the Institute of Vietnamese Literature, was the leader of the Ancient, Modern and Folk Literature group, and also assisted Responsible for Literary Research Journal (later Literary Review).
- Tran Thanh Mai grew up in a mandarin family, the eighth child of Mr. Tran Nha and Mrs. Phan Thi Duong.
