He was a founding member of the Vietnam Writers' Association (1957) and a member of the group of writers of the anti-French generation.

- August Revolution, Vu Sac joined the local youth to save the country.
- In 1946, he entered the second course of Tran Quoc Tuan Army School, now the Army Officer School. I. Since 1948, he worked as a reporter for the National Guard newspaper.
- In 1957, he participated in the founding of the Military Arts magazine.
- Since 1960 a writer Vu Sac moved to work as a literary editor at People's Army Publishing House.
- He retired in 1988.
