Van Duong Thanh is a Vietnamese painter. She is considered an internationally renowned female painter and is the first Asian teacher to teach Fine Arts in Swedish. . The Swedish press commented that this is an international Vietnamese painter and the first Asian lecturer to teach Fine Arts in Swedish. She has won many important awards such as: "International Excellence in Art" in 1995 and 1997 by CFMI USA-France. In 2007, "Glorifying the Land of Vietnam" at the Temple of Literature, Quoc Tu Giam. In 2011, entered "Top 50 Power Vietnamese Women 2011".
In painting, Van Duong Thanh has subtly combined between Asian and European art styles. In her paintings, images with vibrant tones, clear composition, a little abstraction and deep expressiveness have created a unique dynamic and made a distinct impression.
Painter Van Duong Thanh There are 12 works on display at the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum, 4 works on display at the Singapore Fine Arts Museum, 3 works on display at the Spanish Museum and 1 work on display at the Fine Arts Museum. Painter Van Duong Thanh graduated from Vietnam University of Fine Arts in 1980. After graduating, she worked at the Institute of Cultural Studies, Ministry of Culture. She then went to graduate school in the Swedish language and graduated in 1990. Receiving a master's degree, she taught Fine Arts in Sweden.
