Who is Poet Bui Cong Minh?
Bui Cong Minh is a famous poet with the poem "Day and night” was put into music by musician Phan Huynh Dieu. Originally a lecturer of the Faculty Literature, Hanoi National University of Education, he has many poems published on article. Experiencing many jobs such as teaching study, serve in the army, and do administrative work. Currently, he is the President of the Union of Literature and Arts Associations Da Nang city and a member of the Vietnam Writers' Association.

Bui Cong Minh wrote poetry very early, when he was still a 5th grader at the Southern Student School No. 27 Ha Dong, he won the A prize of the Tien Phong Youth Newspaper. In 1967, he graduated from the Literature Department of Hanoi National University of Education, then he was retained as a lecturer at the school and lived for many years in Hanoi. In 1972, putting aside his teaching job, he enlisted in the army and composed the poem Day and Night, which was later put to music by musician Phan Huynh Dieu into the song March of Day and Night. From here, his name really became famous and in turn his other poems also appeared in the press. After the end of the war, he returned from the battlefield to continue his work as a teacher Since 1992, he returned to live and work in Da Nang, after retiring he continued his creative work at an agency. He and his wife knew each other when his wife – Ngo Lien Huong was still a daughter, Ha Thanh was a freshman at the Faculty of Literature, Hanoi National University of Education for many years
