Serbian-American poet and in 1990 received the Pulitzer Prize for poetry for the World Without End. His many other collections of poetry include Lifting the Silence, The Weather Forecast for Utopia and its Surrounds, and Endless Blues.
He was selected in 2007 as the Full Moon Poet Laureate Counselor in Poetry by the Library of Congress (United States Poet Laureate)
