Born into a family with a tradition of studiousness, Professor Hoang Dinh Cau has always been a good student since childhood. After graduating from Hue Quoc Hoc School, he studied at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Indochina in Hanoi in the year 1937. In 1944, he graduated as a doctor of medicine - the last course of French training; After that, he graduated from school with a degree of surgeon, he worked as a lecturer in Surgery and Surgery Department of Medical University and was a resident doctor at Phu Doan Hospital, now Viet Duc Hospital, Hanoi. In September 1945, he was in charge of a team of mobile surgeons in Phu Yen province - Khanh Hoa served the army. In December 1946, he joined the Red Cross teams to train ambulance classes to serve the capital front in the early days of French resistance.
