Son Ga-in started to gain attention when she auditioned for "Let's Coke Play! Battle Shinhwa!" a popular reality movie in Korea. She was then invited by musician Ahn Jung Hoon to audition for the group Brown Eyed Girls' and she became a member of that group. She and her group officially debuted in 2006 and released a song "Must have love" a duet with SG Wannabe manager - Kim Yong Jun. The song became a hit during the Christmas season that year.
