On November 21, 2008, the Court of Appeal of the Supreme People's Court in Hanoi held an appellate trial and declared an appeal. first instance court, rejected the appeal of Nguyen Van Chuong and Do Van Hoang. Chuong continued to file a complaint with the reason that at the time of the murder Chuong was not in Hai Phong but was in his hometown Hai Duong. Mr. Nguyen Truong Chinh - Nguyen Van Chuong's father for many years made a petition for his son to send to the highest agencies of the Party and State.
On April 18, 2011, the Supreme People's Procuracy issued a decision on cassation appeal No. 09/KN-VKSTC-V3 requesting the Judicial Council of the Supreme People's Court trial according to cassation procedures, cancel the decision part of the appellate criminal judgment against Nguyen Van Chuong for re-trial in accordance with law.
Date 7/12/ In 2011, the Judicial Council of the Supreme People's Court decided not to accept the protest of the Supreme People's Procuracy, and upheld the appellate judgment. Since then, Chuong and his family are still trying to continue to have many petitions sent to the highest leaders of the Party and State.
