Be Van Dan is the Hero of the People's Armed Forces of the Vietnam People's Army during the war Indochina.
Be Van Dan is a Tay ethnic, born in a poor family with patriotic traditions, his mother died when he was very young, his father worked as a miner elsewhere, he had to work as a hired laborer for his family.
