Dang Tien Dong was a famous general under the Tay Son Dynasty. His background and career are still unclear and controversial in the history of Vietnam.
In the series "Dang Gia genealogy of the whole political system" consists of 6 books by Dang Tien Dong. Compiled in the Tay Son Dynasty (1792), the Dang surname was originally a naked family name, a descendant of Tran Hung Dao, but for some unknown reason, changed to Dang. In the 5th generation of the Dang family, Dang Huan (there is a document stating that it was Dang Dinh Huan), he was originally a Confucian military mandarin over the Mac dynasty. In 1549, Dinh Huan and Le Ba Ly submitted to the Le dynasty. Dang Tien Dong's real name is Dang Tien Gian. , is the chief of the Dang family, originally from Ha Tay, now Hanoi. He is the 8th son of Dan Duke Dang Tien Cam and his concubine Pham Thi Yen . Many of his brothers were made mandarins, conferred titles, and conferred titles.

Dang Tien Dong had to give up the mandarin seat to escape the pursuit of Lord Trinh Khai.

From Tam Diep, Dang Tien Dong sent his troops along the upper path to Cat Street, through Thien Quan (Quan Nho), to Chuong Duc (Chang My - Hanoi), to Nhan Muc Village and then to Khuong Thuong to fight the army.
