Truong Gia Binh is a Vietnamese businessman. He was the Chairman of the Board of Directors of FPT, Chairman of the Council of Young Vietnamese Entrepreneurs from 1998-2005. He is also an associate professor, doctor and former dean of the Faculty of Business Administration of Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
In high school, Truong Gia Binh was a math student of the school Chu Van An (Hanoi). In 1979, he graduated from Moscow State University, majoring in Mechanical Mathematics. In 1983, he obtained the degree of Associate Professor at Moscow State University. In 1988, Mr. Truong Gia Binh and 12 other scientists co-founded FPT Food Technology Company, the predecessor of FPT Joint Stock Company. In the beginning, the company had to do a lot of work such as: animal feed, iron and steel trading, automobiles, etc. faced many difficulties. After operating for a while and having a stable capital, FPT started to research technology. Only after nearly 30 years of construction and development, until now, FPT has become a leading information technology corporation in Vietnam with a revenue of over 27,000 billion VND in 2013. Truong Gia Binh is considered the soul of the company. who steered the FPT ship to today's success.
Mr. Truong Gia Binh is the son of doctor Truong Gia Tho, the husband of Mrs. Vo Hanh Phuc, the daughter of the general Vo Nguyen Giap. However, Mr. Truong Gia Binh and Ms. Vo Hanh Phuc have divorced. Mr. Truong Gia Binh married his second wife, Mrs. Nguyen Tuyet Mai, who is the president of Vidotour travel company.
