Tran Quoc Vuong is a famous Vietnamese historian, professor, and archaeologist. He is known as one of the originators of the history of Vietnamese archeology.
He graduated valedictorian from Hanoi University of Literature, Faculty of History and Geography. And then he was in charge of teaching at Hanoi University.
He was promoted to Professor in 1980 when he was 46 years old. During that time he also held many positions such as: Head of Archeology Department; director of the Intercultural Center of the University of Hanoi; Head of the Department of Culture, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Deputy General Secretary of the Vietnam Folk Arts Association, Chairman of the Vietnam Culinary Culture Club, Vice President of the Vietnam Traditional Craft Club, General Secretary of the Arts and Culture Association Hanoi folk. He was the first president of the Hanoi Historical Society.
His passion was to travel around the country from the beginning of the country to the end of the country, traveling throughout Asia, Europe, ... in order to discover new things. different ancient cultures. Because of traveling a lot, he has accumulated a lot of knowledge and broadened his horizons. Helped him to complete hundreds of articles on cultural and historical research published in domestic and foreign newspapers and magazines.

The scientific value that he left to mankind is the valuable contribution to Vietnam's historical science. He deserves to be honored by the people as one of the "four pillars" of the modern Vietnamese historian house "Lam, Le, Tan, Vuong" (including Professors Dinh Xuan Lam, Phan Huy Le, Ha Van Tan and Tran Quoc Vuong)
