After 1975, when singer Thai Thanh was still in Vietnam, because she did not approve of performing revolutionary songs for the communist government, she was banned from singing for 10 years. In 1985, she moved to the United States to settle down with her family; In the United States, she continues to sing and record in big concerts like Paris By Night, the old Diem center. In Orange County, she and musician Nghiem Phu Phi once opened a singing and training class. Since 2000, she officially stopped singing after she had a stroke on the right side of the brain and was hospitalized, but she still occasionally participates in other artists' concerts.
