Who is Journalist Jerry Nachman?
For nearly a generation, Nachman has been a familiar figure to newspaper readers and television news viewers in New York City. He was editor-in-chief of the New York Post from 1989 to 1992, after a stint as a police reporter and political essayist. Prior to that, he served as news director of NBC New York, WNBC-TV, and as Vice President of New York's CBS station, WCBS-TV. He served as the general manager of the local radio station WRC in Washington, DC. Nachman was a scriptwriter for television shows and produced ''Politically Incorrect With Bill Maher''' during the 2000 election campaign.
He won two Emmys for entertainment as director. production, he also won major journalism awards, including a Peabody Award and an Edward R. Murrow Award,..
On January 19, 2004, Nachman passed away at his home in Hoboken after a time with cancer.
 
 

Young / Before famous

Talking about his childhood, when he was young his parents divorced, he moved to live with his mother and stepfather in Pittsburgh so that Nachman grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Nachman attended Youngstown State University for seven years but did not take a journalism course or graduate. After that, he did some journalism and then switched to broadcasting. From 1971 to 1981, he worked for CBS in both radio and television and at NBC until 1987.
He later became the unofficial editor of a column for the New York Post. It was only after 6 weeks that he became a full-time employee, in 1989, he became the editor of the article.
In 1992 he resigned and moved to New Mexico to work at WCBS-TV as a news director. In addition, he also worked as a reporter for the NBC television series. In 2002, he started to join MSNBC with the success of the series "Nachman" which was broadcast on MSNBC, his name became famous to radio stations and appeared in the legendary newspaper Walter Winchell.

Nachman was married to Nancy Cook, but this marriage quickly ended in divorce. He has an older brother named Larry and his brother lives in Australia.
