Kenneth ("Ken") Reid is a Northern Irish journalist. He is currently the political editor at UTV. Reid received the CIPR Press and Broadcast Awards for "News Broadcaster of the Year" in both 2005 and 2006.

Ken Reid began his career in the late 70s of the 20th century after studying at Methodist College Belfast and the University of Hull. . It was in 1977 that he was a journalist of The News Letter he was with this place for 7 years. Then from 1984 he moved to News Sunday to work as a sports columnist; in 1987 he moved to write reportage for Cork Examiners.
Worked for 7 years then in 1994 he joined the UTV media company. Here, he is considered one of only two journalists who are not interested in media advertising. Since 2007 he has worked as a political editor and blogs on the UTV Web site on political issues in Northern Ireland. Up to now, he has been working for UTV for 26 years.

Ken Reid's father was a sailor, he died in a plane crash when he was only 2 years old. Born in Belfast, he later settled in County Antrim with his wife, Liz, and they have three children Gareth, 33, Sarah, 32, and Sophie, 28. With his wife and children are the things that he feels most proud of.
