From December 1976, Mr. Le Vinh Tan joined the army under orders to enlist in the army and then to January 1. In 1980, at this time, he was a logistics assistant for Battalion 502A of the Military Command of Dong Thap Province with the rank of Sergeant Major. He was officially discharged from the army.
On January 13, 1980, he was officially discharged. admitted to the Communist Party of Vietnam; then in February 1980, he majored in Agricultural Mechanics at University Can Tho.
In October 1984, after graduating with a degree in agricultural mechanical engineering, he was assigned to work as a Technical Officer of An Long Mechanical Enterprise, Dong Thap Province. In May 1986, he was assigned to work at the Department of Industry of Dong Thap province and in turn held the positions of Deputy Director, Head of General - Organization - Administration Department, Deputy Director of the Department, Acting Director of the Department. In January 2004, he was elected to the 7th Provincial Executive Committee of the Provincial Party Committee. On April 22, 2010, he was elected Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Thap Province in an extraordinary meeting to elect an additional Chairman. Thap, just a month later he was elected as Chairman of the People's Council of Dong Thap province. . On September 28, 2015, he continued to be appointed Deputy Minister of Home Affairs by the Prime Minister. On April 8, 2016, he was officially appointed as Minister of the Interior until now.
