German-born poet, editor, and in 1993 received the Nicholas Roerich Poetry Prize. Her poetry collections include The Other Life, House Without a Dreamer, and The Woman in the Painting
. She served for twenty-two years as Writer-in-Residence at Lyon College and was awarded the Williamson Lamar Award for Excellence in Teaching during this period.
