Members of the Muslim Brotherhood who spent time in the United States during 1949 and wrote about the immorality of coutry, inspiring groups like al-Qaeda. He was convicted, in 1966, of plotting to assassinate Egyptian President Gamal Abdel Nasser and was hanged to death.
After joining the Brotherhood he became its head of propaganda, and a leading voice in its governance.
