Who is Professor Dang Thai Mai?
Professor Dang Thai Mai, also known as Dang Thai Mai, is a Vietnamese writer, teacher, and literary critic. He has several pseudonyms such as Thanh Binh and Thanh Tuyen. He was the first director of the Vietnam Literature Institute and served as the Minister of Education. He is a member of the 1st term, member of the Constitution Drafting Committee of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, Chairman of the Administrative Resistance Committee province Thanh Hoa, Director of the Inter-zone 4 University Preparatory School and Advanced Pedagogy, President of the Vietnam Cultural Association, President of the University.
In 1928, Dang Thai Mi became a professor. of Quoc Hoc Hue School. In 1928, the Tan Viet Party broke up, and he was sentenced to a year of probation. In 1930, he was arrested while participating in the Red Salvation Movement, sentenced to 3 years in prison. In 1932, after being released, he returned to teach in Hanoi at a private school Gia Long. In 1935, he and some friends were Hoang Minh Giap, Vo Nguyen Giap, Phan Thanh Thanh Established Thang Long Private School. In 1936, Dang Thai and some friends founded the Association to spread the Quoc Ngu script. From 1936-1939, he began to write short stories in French and write newspapers. In 1944, he published the work "Literary Theory", this was the first book to be presented from a progressive point of view. He was also the one who introduced modern Chinese literature through a number of literary works. such as: Lu Xun, Chinese Literature, Translations of Lei Vu, Cao Yu's Japanese plays, History of modern Chinese literature, volume 1...
After the success of the August Revolution, Dang Thai Mai on teaching at universities and studying literary criticism. He produced many valuable works such as: On the way to study and research (volume 1, 1959, volume 2, 1965 and volume 3, 1973), Vietnamese revolutionary poetry in the early 20th century (1960). He is considered a Confucian with profound knowledge of modern Chinese literature, modern Vietnamese literature and French classical literature. For his great contributions to literature and education in the country, in 1982 he was awarded the Order of the State Ho Chi Minh. He was posthumously awarded the 1st Ho Chi Minh Prize by the State in 1996.

From 1917-1924, Dang Thai Mai attended primary and secondary school in Vinh, Nghe An. After that, he went to Hanoi to study at the College of Education Indochina - Hanoi. In 1925, he joined the movement for "amnesty" Phan Boi Chau and memorial ceremony Phan Chau Trinh and joined the Tan Viet party.
Professor Dang Thai Mai's biological father is Dang Nguyen Can, who was exiled by the French colonialists in Con Dao for participating in the Duy Tan movement. At the age of five, Dang Thai Mi was raised by her grandmother and sent to school. He married Mrs. Ho Thi Toan, he and his wife had 1 son and 5 daughters.
