Dillan was born in 2000 in Hue but moved with his family to the US when he was just one year old. The living environment in America has helped him approach many different musical cultures.
At the age of six, Dillan began to love Kpop. His passion for professional performances, synchronized choreography and idol image inspired him to nurture his dream of becoming a singer.
Instead of considering music as just a hobby, Dillan persistently persuaded his family to pursue his artistic career seriously.
Three years as a Korean trainee but hiding it from my family
Dillan spent three years as a trainee at a Korean entertainment company. During this time, he almost did not share with his family because he was afraid that his parents would object.
To pursue his passion, Dillan had to be independent from a very early age. He worked part-time at coffee shops to cover living expenses as well as the training process.
It was only when he appeared at international idol search programs such as Asia Super Young 2023 (China) and Starlight Boys 2024 (Korea) that Dillan officially told his family about his career choice. At first, relatives were quite surprised. However, after witnessing his seriousness and determination, his family fully supported him.
Dillan Hoang Phan shared that the trust of his parents and sister is the biggest source of motivation for him not to give up every time he encounters difficulties.
Conquering the international stage with the strength of dance
Dillan's most outstanding strength is his stage performance ability. In both Asia Super Young and Starlight Boys, he left many impressions thanks to his solid dancing skills, confident expressions and charisma of a professionally trained performer.
Even though he has not advanced deeply in competitions, Dillan still creates attraction on social networks when many fancam videos recording the performance of Para Para Sakura spread strongly on TikTok. These clips help his name become known to more young audiences.
The turning point at Brother Say Hi
In 2025, Dillan decided to return Vietnam when he received an invitation to participate in the program Anh Trai Say Hi. This is considered an important milestone to help him reach a large domestic audience.
At the show, Dillan attracted attention with the image of an international trainee possessing professional performing skills, bright appearance and modern style. The ability to control the stage is considered the male singer's biggest advantage every time he appears in group performances.
Professional debut with the song VVIP
On April 16, 2026, Dillan officially released the song VVIP, marking the first step on the path of professional music activities.
