Tran Dich Tan (English name Eason Chan) is known as the King of Pop of Hong Kong, "New Generation Singer" after Hua Quan Kiet and Truong Hoc Huu. He is the second non-Taiwanese person (after Cheung Hoc Huu) to win the "Golden Melody Award" which is considered a Chinese-language Grammy; typically the "album of the year" award with "Special thanks to..." (2003) and "Don't want to let go" (2009); Award "Best Male Singer" in 2003 and 2015. The album "Cantonese U87" by Tran Dich Tan was nominated as "one of the 5 best Asian albums to buy" in 2005 voted by Time magazine.
