Le Van Linh has the pseudonym Mai Trai, he was born in a family of teachers in the countryside, he attended the Lam Son uprising from the early days and was named in 18 people attending the Lung Nhai oath festival. He, along with Nguyen Trai, was the conspirator of King Le Loi, greatly contributed to the liberation of the country, was awarded the title of Khanh Thuong and held the position of Deputy Chief of Staff. He attended the war. In 1435, he and Le Boi went to fight Cam Quy in Ngoc Ma Chau and won Loi.

In Nhu Ang with Le Loi, he was also assigned to teach children of martyr families. When the Le dynasty opened the country and organized an exam, he was appointed as the Deemor (the examiner) along with Nguyen Trai, taking Nguyen Truc to pass the poinsettia (1442). The epitaph written about him also says that it is Nguyen Truc, Luong The Vinh (?) are all his students.
