Nguyen Xien is a scientist and a Vietnamese politician. He used to hold the position of General Secretary of the Socialist Party of Vietnam and Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly of Vietnam.
Nguyen Xien was born in a long-standing Confucian family. As a child, he attended primary and secondary schools in Vinh city. He used to be an excellent student while attending Quoc Hoc Vinh School. He passed the entrance exam to obtain the Chung Thanh degree and then went to Hanoi to study at Buoi School.
In 1926, due to participating in a class strike to mourn Phan Chu Trinh, he He was expelled from school and was banned from taking the baccalaureate exam in his native country, but he and a few friends dropped out of the class, determined to learn on their own, passed the Western Baccalaureate in Hanoi and received a scholarship to France, and passed the bachelor's degree. here.

During the August Revolution, he actively participated in socio-political activities. He was appointed by Uncle Ho as Chairman of the Northern Administrative Committee. In 1946, he was elected by the people of Kien An as the first member of the National Assembly and was always trusted by everyone in the 7 courses in important positions.
