African-American comedian who was in the original cast of Saturday Night Live when it premiered in 1975. In one of his most famous bits while on SNL, where he spent five years as an actor member, he was presented on the Weekend Update as "The President of the New York School for Hearing."
In 1994, he was shot during an apparent robbery attempt and had to end his role in the film. sitcom Martin because of it. In 2011, he began playing Earl on the television series 2 Broke Girls and he appeared in the 2015 film Ant-Man.
