After graduating from high school, Quang Thang registered to attend the Hai Phong Art and Culture Intermediate School. He passed the entrance exam and started studying at the school, graduating in 1989.
After graduating due to difficult circumstances, he had to work many jobs to make a living. At first, he worked for the family of an uncle in the Hai Phong troupe, bringing goods from Hai Phong to Dong Xuan market every day, then taking the train back to perform at night. After that, the delivery of goods gradually became less, after that Quang Thang had to work as a car assistant, then cum as a porter for the car owner
