Musician Duc Huy started composing his debut song "Crying" down" in 1963, but the song was not released. In 1969, the work "Draining Rain" was released to the public and received a lot of love from the audience, especially from young listeners at that time.
In 1975, he lost his family and friends. had to go to the Philippines as a refugee, not long after he was allowed to go to San Francisco, the United States. In the United States, musician Duc Huy joined the San Francisco music scene introduced by an acquaintance. He sang and played for a band in Hollyday in (Chinatown). He also studied for a time in basic music and harmony at San Francisco City College.
In 1985, he started his professional music career, performing with the band on a yacht, traveling. throughout Tahiti, Caribbean, Jamaica, Mexico.
In 2005, musician Duc Huy released an album called "And the heart was happy again", in 2007 he held his own concert of the same name.
Since moving to live abroad, musician Duc Huy has returned to his home country many times to perform, appearing on many music programs such as Charming Vietnam. After his marriage with singer Thao My broke up, musician Duc Huy returned to Vietnam to live in Tp. Ho Chi Minh.

Musician Duc Huy attended high school at Nguyen Trai school in Saigon. His talent was discovered by his cousin, musician Nguyen Vu, and led him to the musical path.
While still in high school, he was invited by a professional youth band Les Vampires to join as a musician. After graduating, musician Duc Huy entered the Faculty of English Literature - University of Literature (Saigon). While studying here, he joined many young bands such as Crazy Boys, Revolution, Strawbery Four and began to practice composing.
In 1972 he graduated from university and joined the army, becoming a soldier. The second local army stationed in Binh Duong.
While still in high school, he was invited by a professional youth band Les Vampires to join as a musician. After graduating, musician Duc Huy entered the Faculty of English Literature - University of Literature (Saigon). While studying here, he joined many young bands such as Crazy Boys, Revolution, Strawbery Four and began to practice composing.
In 1972 he graduated from university and joined the army, becoming a soldier. The second local army stationed in Binh Duong.
