Initially famous as a rally racer in events such as the London-Sydney Marathon and the Australian Qualifiers, Green was later called upon to comment on his Seven Motorsports network, as well as for his rally-themed articles and his half a dozen novels. His debut novel, Alice to Nowhere, was adapted into a television miniseries in 1986.
A 1972 article he wrote for The Sun-Herald sparked an Australian controversy being called "Fear Supercars."
Evan Clifford Symons Green is best known as an Australian car journalist, he is also known as a television personality, commentator, novelist, he has written extensively about himself as well as his experience in car restoration.
He was previously an internationally recognized tank driver a racer who competes in major rally events such as London -Sydney Marathon and Australia Qualifiers.
His first novel "Alice to Nowhere" was adapted into two short films in 1986 by Brendon Lumney, directed by John Power. In addition, he also wrote a number of other novels such as:
