Venerable Thich Bon Dang has been passionate about journalism for nearly 10 years. In 2013, when Hau Giang PT - TH was recruiting broadcasters, he applied and was fortunate to be accepted. Graduating in Accounting has nothing to do with writing, so in the first days of my career, I had to try hard to keep up with everyone. In 2015, he officially appeared on television for the first time. This is a reportage about "Studying and following the example, ethics and ideology Ho Chi Minh" filmed in the temple, coincidentally this is the temple that he often visited when he was in school.
After that report, his image appeared more on local television. The teacher's work schedule is tight, sometimes stretching from 4:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Outside of work, he also participated in many fun nights all night long.
In 2018, a serious illness struck, he suffered a brain stroke and could die at any time. Sometimes, I want to succumb to fate. Amidst the confusion between life and death, he accidentally read information about a "summer retreat" at a temple in Vinh Long. He put aside all work and participated in the retreat with the hope of having time to rest and change the environment so that his condition could improve. This is the first time he recites Sutras and learns about Buddhism. After realizing the ideal of a monk, he came to an important decision, a turning point in his life: becoming a monk. Relatives, friends, and colleagues were very surprised and could not believe it was true. He is aware that each person only lives once in life, so he will choose to live his life his own way.
After a period of research, he decided to go to the North and practice in Hung Yen. He learned how to get acquainted with the mine bell, the scriptures, the rituals and conduct of monastics...
In 2019, he returned Long An and attached to this land.
Even though I have followed the path of mindfulness practice, journalism is still like a blessing in life that I owe a lot to. He once again fell in love with journalism. When the reportage of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (Buddhist Sangha) in Long An province needed a reader to narrate, he was chosen. From then on, he was transferred and continued to work at the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in the field of Information and Communications.
