Nguyen Trong Hop is a Vietnamese painter. He was admitted to the graphics department of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association in 1957. He was a lecturer at the Vietnam University of Fine Arts from 1956 to 1981. From 1957 to 1983, he was a member of the Executive Committee of the American Association. Vietnam Art Class 1.
Painter Nguyen Trong Hop died on September 27, 1999, in Hanoi. In November 2010, his son, painter Duc Hoa, and his family organized an exhibition of paintings by the late painter Nguyen Trong Hop at 29 Hang Bai, Hanoi. At this exhibition, the public can admire many unique black and white paintings by Nguyen Trong Hop, who is considered a master of black and white painting in Vietnam.
Painter Nguyen Trong Hop creates paintings mainly in Vietnam. wood carving and painting genre. His paintings often revolve around the topic of soldiers and the lives of Vietnamese people during the two resistance wars. Third Prize of the 10-year Global Graphic Exhibition country in 1985; Prize C Art Exhibition on the topic of armed forces and revolutionary war in 1999. State Prize for Literature and Art in 2001 for a series of works: Mother returning from work in the field (oil painting size 58x70cm), Class mountain learning (color wood carving, size 35x51cm), patching nets by the sea (color woodcarving, size 30x48cm), mountain soldiers and militia (color woodcarving, size 39x51cm); Old Country Market (Carved painting, size 60x90cm), See photo of Uncle Ho (Wood carving, size 39x42cm).
