Who is Performer Phuong Thanh?
Phuong Thanh's real name is Phuong Thi Thanh, she is a Vietnamese film and television actress. She died on February 13, 2009 at Military Medical Institute 108, after a stroke, a history of high blood pressure. In 2012, she was posthumously awarded the title of People's Artist by the Vietnamese government. She is one of the Vietnamese film artists named in the Encyclopedia of Soviet Cinema.
At the age of 20, she received her first role in the film The adopted son of the director Nguyen Khanh Du.
In 1978, she was chosen by director Tran Phuong to play the main role, the female general robber Hien "crocodile" in the film. "The Last Sin". This role helped People's Artist Phuong Thanh win the Golden Lotus Award for Best Actress at the 5th Vietnam Film Festival, when she was 23 years old.
Phuong Thanh is one of the first two northern film actresses to impress the public in the South after the country's reunification. During her acting career, she left over 50 feature films and nearly 100 TV series.
