Director Tran Phuong's real name is Tran Duc Phuong. Tran Phuong started a business from a film studio Vietnam . However, before that he had not participated in any actress training school.

At the age of 16, he began participating in the resistance war against the French. In 1952, he was one of the first students of the People's Arts School established in the Viet Bac war zone.
