- In 1965, Tu Nguyen Tinh joined the army and fought in Ham Rong during the years of the American imperialist war.
- After 1975, he finished high school studying culture ( 10/10) studied at the Faculty of Literature, Hanoi University. After that, he returned to Thanh Hoa to work as a radio and television reporter and edited literature in 1983.
- In 1986, he transferred to the Thanh Hoa Arts and Culture Association.
- From 1997 to 2008, he held the position of Vice President-Editor-in-Chief of Xu Thanh literary magazine - Thanh Hoa Literature and Art Association.
- He used to work in many professions: farmer, gunner, firecracker repairman, culture teacher, history writer, journalist and professional writer.
