Mr. Le Van Thanh holds a master's degree in Economic Management. He used to hold the position of Director of Hai Phong Cement Company. After that, he worked as Vice Chairman of the People's Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council Hai Phong city. At the 13th Party Congress in early 2021, he was re-elected as a member of the Central Committee. More than 3 months later, he was approved by the National Assembly to hold the position of Deputy Prime Minister. Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh has been assigned to monitor such areas as: agriculture, industry and rural development; trade - import and export; Transportation; build; natural resources and environment; regional planning, provincial planning; national master plan, energy assurance, economical and efficient use of energy sources. In addition, while in office, he was also in charge of many key national projects; capital construction investment projects as decentralized by law; industrial parks, economic zones, export processing zones; flood prevention, search and rescue; strategy to respond to climate change.
Former Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh has monitored and directed ministries such as the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Construction, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. Environment. The last activity of former Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh was to attend the meeting of the State Steering Committee for important national works and projects, the key transport sector, at the Government headquarters on the afternoon of the 16th. November 2022. Since then, he has not appeared in public.
