Nguyen Van Ba, nicknamed Nam Ly, is the hero of the Vietnam War. Member of the Communist Party of Vietnam
In 1949, Nguyen Van Ba participated in the revolution in the people's organization against the French colonialists, mobilizing puppet soldiers to return to their families, with the revolution, and set up bases. Bung Ong Hoan belongs to present-day Bung Sau Commune. From 1960 to 1962, he was elected to be the Secretary of the Commune Party Committee. In 1963, he was the Secretary of the Party Committee to appoint 6 communes in Vung Bung. From 1964 to 1968, he served as the standing member of the District Party Committee, the district captain of Thu Duc district.
During the years of struggle to protect the homeland, sharing difficulties with the people and soldiers, he always expressed exemplary calm in life, an uncompromising determination to the enemy, always actively attacking no matter the situation, he fought 200 battles big and small, killed many puppet troops and 115 soldiers America, punishing 40 scouts, obtained 80 guns of all kinds.
On January 27, 1969, after attending the Congress of Southern Patriotic Emulation Soldiers, on the way back he was arrested. American bombers dropped bombs and died at Nuoc Trong junction, An Dien hamlet, Phuoc Nguyen, Chau Thanh, Dong Nai.
