Musician Le Trong Nguyen is the author of the famous song "Nang Chieu'. He is a musician of the early period of Vietnamese new music.
In 1952, musician Le Trong Nguyen composed the song "Sunshine". This is a famous song in Vietnam and Japan, Taiwan and in Hong Kong with the name Vietnam Love Song. The song "Afternoon sunshine" is also the soundtrack song in the movie of the same name by director Le Mong Hoang with the participation of famous actors Thanh Nga.
According to some documents, in 1958, young Japanese singer Satsuki Midori, on a trip to Vietnam, heard the song "Afternoon sunshine". This song, immediately made a strong impression and gave her a sense of excitement, so she wrote Japanese lyrics for this song. The song 'Sunshine' in Japanese was sung by Satsuki Midori at the Thi Nghe Fair, then it was broadcast on radio stations in Vietnam and Tokyo for many years, with both Japanese and Vietnamese lyrics.
In 1960, female singer Ky Lo Ha came from Taiwan to perform at Da Nang - Vietnam. She brought a lot of emotions to the guests and audience participating in the performance when performing the song "Sunshine" by Than Chi with Hoa's lyrics.
In 1965, musician Le Trong Nguyen assumed the position of Director of Centra Co, a French trading company.
