Who is Composer Nguyen Hien?
Composer Nguyen Hien is the author of the famous song "You give me spring" based on Kim Tuan's poetry. He is also a conductor of the band "Hotel de Paris" in Hanoi.
At the age of 18, musician Nguyen Hien set music for the poem "Little brother" by Thieu Giang.
In 1988, Nguyen Hien and his family settled in Little Saigon, Westminster, Southern California, USA. He and musician Ngoc Bich and some friends founded the Saigon Band in Little Saigon, Westminster, California.
In 2004, the Center Thuy Nga performed the Paris By Night 74 Music Festival with the theme of Day Flowers. in honor of composer Nguyen Hien, Huynh Anh and Song Ngoc.
Musician Nguyen Hien passed away at 10:15 am on December 23, 2005 (California time, USA).

He mastered many instruments, such as the organ, violin, piano... from a very young age.
After the Geneva Agreement, musician Nguyen Hien moved to the South to live. Here, he worked at the Ministry of Information, Chieu Hoi and Rural Construction. From April 1975, he was Assistant to the Program Department of Vietnam Television.
From 1978 to 1980, music Nguyen Hien was detained by the communists because he was suspected of being involved in the national restoration organization

In 1953, he got married. Then because of being accused of being involved in the nationalist organization. In 1988, he moved with his family to Little Saigon, Westminster, Southern California
