Avant-garde and minimalist composer, guitarist and trumpeter who gained acclaim for his orchestral guitar work. He was the first music director of Manhattan's experimental lower art space The Kitchen while in his late teens.
He played with The Young's Theater of Eternal Music and The Dream Syndicate Tony Conrad. His first works include "Two Gongs" from 1971.
