Truc Ho studied classical piano and composition at the Universities of Goldenwest and Long Beach.
Truc Ho married in 1990 with Nguyen Khoa Dieu Quyen (formerly with the same Huntinton Beach choir in southern California) and has two children, Truong Ngoc La La and Truong Anh Ly Bach. Dieu Quyen is very active and often appears in community activities. On March 16, 2009, Dieu Quyen was honored and awarded the "Outstanding Woman" award by the California State House of Representatives for being an exemplary educator and passionate service to the community.
