Dinh Manh Thang, former Chairman of the Board of Directors of Song Da Petroleum Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company, was prosecuted and detained for investigation on charges of embezzlement. Mr. Dinh Manh Thang graduated as a civil engineer, then studied for a master's degree in business administration. After graduating as a construction engineer in 1983, Mr. Dinh Manh Thang worked at the concrete crushing and sieve factory of Song Da Hydropower Construction Corporation.
In 1987, Mr. Dinh Manh Thang moved to work as a rolling mill. Department of Consumption Materials - Song Da Supplies Company. Mr. Thang worked in this position for 13 years before being appointed General Director of Song Da Enterprise 12.6 in 2001.
In January 2004, Mr. Dinh Manh Thang was appointed Chairman of the Management Board. Chairman cum General Director of Song Da Trading and Transport Joint Stock Company (the former name of Song Da Petroleum Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company). During his work here, Mr. Thang was one of the few senior leaders who regularly bought and sold company shares. Mr. Thang currently holds 746,000 SDP shares. According to market value, the volume of shares held by Mr. Dinh Manh Thang is worth 2.7 billion VND.
