- In childhood, Vo Hong attended Ngan Son village school, Tuy An government school, Song Cau district school, then Quy Nhon high school.
- In 1940, he studied baccalaureate in Hanoi.
- Under the government Tran Trong Kim, he worked as a secret agent The letter of the Governor General of the 4 provinces of South Central Vietnam is located at Da Lat.
- During the resistance war, he worked as Head of the Popular Education Department in Phu Yen province, in 1949.
- In 1953, he became ill and asked for a long leave of absence.
- In 1954, he brought his family back to live in Da Lat.
- From 1956 - 1975, he taught at a charter high school Le Quy Don, then the Principal of Tan Lap Secondary School, Nha Trang.
- In 1978, he retired.
He is married to Marie Phan Dieu Bau, with whom he has 3 children.
