Who is Poet Ngan Giang?
Poet Ngan Giang's real name is Do Thi Que, born into a Confucian family in Hang Trong Street, Hanoi; Her original hometown is in Huong Duong village, Thuong Tin district, Ha Tay province (now part of Hanoi).
In addition to the pseudonym Ngan Giang, she also has other pseudonyms: Hanh Lien, Do Que Anh, Nguyet Quyen. Ngan Giang is also one of the few female writers who became a member of the Vietnam Writers' Association at the very first term (1957).
She is admired by many people not only because of her beauty and poetry, but also because she is a good woman, knows how to drink a little wine, has a dreamy soul, and is in charge of the household chores... During her lifetime, she used to play chess with writer Nguyen Tuan, poet Vu Hoang Chuong, once she played for the king Bao Dai and Queen Nam Phuong listened, fame rose in the whole region.
She wrote many poems with a touch of Tang poetry, among them there are many beautiful songs such as Truong Queen, Spring War, Bach Dang Giang...

- At the age of 6, Ngan Giang was taught kanji by her father, learned how to write the national language of a neighbor teacher, and was taught how to write poetry by her aunt who works in medicine, who loves Tang poetry.
