Who is Poet Phan Van Tri?
Phan Van Tri was a Vietnamese poet during the early French resistance period. When he was 19 years old, Phan Van Tri passed 10th out of 17 Bachelors of the year Huong contest Tu Duc Tuesday, 1849, also from here the people in the area called him Cu Tri. In memory of him:
- In 2005, Phan Van Tri's grave was restored in the campus of Can Tho city into a spacious, spacious and beautiful place. and every year, there is a solemn death anniversary ceremony.
- In Thanh Phu Dong commune, Phan Van Tri's hometown, in early 1998, the Giong Trom district government (Ben Tre province) also built a memorial house for Phan Van Tri. The work was completed on the 89th anniversary of his death (June 22, 1999).
