Known for his Ever Rising Faith series of radio and television programs, this founder of the Fellowship of International Christian Word of Faith Ministries (FICWFM) also served as founder of the Los Angeles Christian Center pastor Crenshaw.
Although he finished his formal education after a brief course of study at Los Angeles City College, he later received an honorary Divinity degree from Oral Roberts University.

Soon after becoming a Christian incarnate, he accepted a position as an assistant pastor at a Baptist church in California. He continued to preach at both the African Methodist Episcopal and Presbyterian churches.
His parents, who had been Jehovah's Witnesses, later renounced all religions. Price didn't convert to Christianity until after his marriage to his high school girlfriend, Betty.
