The American sports executive was partly responsible for the birth of American League football, Major League Soccer and World Championship Tennis. He is a Hall of Famer in all three sports and is the moniker of the NFL's Lamar Hunt Trophy, awarded to the winner of the American Football Conference each year.
In addition to his contributions to the sports world, he is the founder of Kansas City's theme parks Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun.
