In April 1946, writer Nguyen Quang Sang worked as a liaison officer for Lien Chi 2 unit. In 1948, he sent him to study culture at Nguyen Van To Resistance High School.
In 1950, he returned to work at the Political Department of the Commanding General of the Southwest Region, working as a religious research officer. In 1955, he returned to work as an officer of the Office of Culture, Radio and Voice of Vietnam. From 1958, he worked as an editor of Van Nghe weekly magazine, editor of Literature Publishing House, a creative officer.
In 1966, he entered the southern battlefield, working as a creative officer of the Liberation Arts Association. In 1972, he returned to Hanoi and continued to work at the Writers' Association.

He married a wife 5 years younger than him, two people from the same hometown.
