She grew up in Michigan with three siblings in a Louisiana-Creole family. One is her identical twin Suzette M. Malveaux, the other two are her brother and sister Courtney M. Malveaux and Gregory F. Malveaux. In June 2014, she announced that she was adopting a daughter.
