Kang Ho Dong or Kang Ho-dong is a host and actor. Korean comedian. He is widely known as a top traditional Korean wrestler, and is one of the two most famous MCs in the land of Kim Chi with Yoo Jae-Suk. In 2008, he became the first comedian in history to be awarded the Baeksang Arts Award.
Kang Ho Dong graduated from Masan Business High School. After graduating from high school, he participated in professional Ssireum wrestling matches. When just starting out. He lost quite a few matches. However, at the 44th National Ssireum Championship in July 1989, he defeated the legendary Lee Mangi and became the champion of this tournament. He is also known as "The Devil in the Sand" because of his fearless, arrogant attitude. He won the Baekdujangsa Ssireum 7 times, the Cheonhajangsa Ssireum 5 times and was recognized as the youngest person to win the Cheonhajangsa title.
After retiring from wrestling, Kang Ho Dong started his MC career. and comedian in 1993. He appeared on MBC as a talented person. He was influenced by the famous MC Lee Kyung-kyu. After a period of entertainment activities, Kang Ho Dong has won many entertainment awards and has been widely accepted by the public.
