Yen Lan, whose real name is Lam Thanh Lang, is a Vietnamese poet and playwright. He also has another pseudonym, Xuan Khai. He is from Binh Dinh town, An Nhon district, Binh Dinh province.
He is a member of the Vietnamese Writers' Association. Male since 1957.
Yen Lan composed poetry early, along with Han Mac Tu, Che Lan Vien, Quoc Quach Tan formed Ban into four friends (four poets of Binh Dinh) famous on the piano at that time. During this period, he and Han Mac Tu, Che Lan Vien composed in the style of Chaos Poetry (also known as Mad Poetry) with moons, bones, blood, ghosts... in Poetry.
Famous from the New Poetry Movement with the immortal "Ben My Lang", Yen Lan later became highly appreciated for her quartet poetry.
He died on October 5. 1998.

- Orphaned at the age of 6, Yen Lan lived as a private teacher and writer.
- After the August Revolution, he was a member of Binh Dinh's National Salvation Culture (1947) -1949); was a member of the South Central Coast resistance culture, leader of the Resistance theater troupe.
- From 1950 - 1954 he worked in cultural and artistic activities in Binh Dinh.
- After 1954, Yen Lan gathered to the North, worked at the Literary Publishing House and participated in the Humanism - Giai Phong movement.
- After 1975, he returned to work at the Binh Dinh Arts Association.
Yen Lan's grandfather is a Confucian, belonging to the lineage Minh Huong in Fujian.
