Who is Poet Nguyen Sa?
Poet Nguyen Sa real name is Tran Bich Lan, he is famous since the 1950s for many romantic poetry compositions. Nguyen Sa's famous poetic works such as: "Ha Dong silk dress", "At the age of thirteen", "Is there anything strange in Paris", "It rained in June". Nguyen Sa also has another pseudonym, Xu Truc.
Musician Ngo Thuy Mien has set music for some of his poems such as: Ha silk dress Dong, Thirteen years old, is there anything strange about Paris, June it rains.
Poet Nguyen Sa and his family have settled in California-USA since 1978. Here, Nguyen Sa advocates Doi magazine, Doi music tape center and Doi publishing house. On April 18, 1998, he passed away.

During the resistance war Nguyen Sa participated in revolutionary activities and was imprisoned by the Viet Minh when he was 15 years old. After his release, he returned to Hanoi, where his family sent him to study abroad in France.
In 1953, he passed the French Baccalaureate, he studied philosophy at the Sorbonne University.
When he returned to Vietnam, Nguyen Sa went to Saigon, he used to teach philosophy at High School Chu Van An and Saigon University of Literature. He also opened classes at home to teach philosophy to students preparing for the 2nd baccalaureate exam. Nguyen Sa founded two private schools, Van Hoc and Van Khoi.
In the field of journalism, Nguyen Sa advocated Modern magazine. . This magazine is considered one of the top three creative magazines in Vietnam, along with Creative and 20th Century.

In 1955, he married Trinh Thuy Nga in Paris. In early 1956, the two grandparents returned home and lived in Saigon.
Around 1978, he and his family moved to the United States to settle in California.
